Jackie Silberg is an early childhood advocate and popular keynote speaker. Her latest book is Games to Play
with Babies, Third Edition. She is the author of many other best-selling books, including 125 Brain Games for Toddlers
and Twos, 125 Brain Games for Babies, Games to Play with Toddlers, Games to Play with Two Year Olds, More Games
to Play with Toddlers, 300 Three Minute Games, 500 Five Minute Games, and The I Can�t Sing Book.
Long recognized as an authority on child development, Jackie Silberg's books are also appreciated by parents. Four
of her books were selected to be reviewed by Parent Council. Current interest in brain development in young children
has made Ms. Silberg's books quite popular, as they give parents, grandparents, caregivers, and teachers many ways
to have fun interacting with children while developing valuable skills such as motor coordination, language, listening,
counting, and problem-solving.
Jackie Silberg's More Games to Play with Toddlers was awarded the Publishers Marketing Association Benjamin Franklin
Award for excellence in the Education/Teaching/Academic category. Her many award-winning books have been published
in thirteen countries.
In November of 1996, Jackie Silberg received the Distinguished Alumna Award from Emporia State University, where
she received her Master of Science degree in Child Development. The Distinguished Alumna Award recognizes Ms. Silberg�s
current achievements as well as her long and prolific career. Between 1964 and 1974, she founded and directed the
Jewish Community Center School of Music in Kansas City, Missouri. During 1974-1976, she worked for Channel 41 TV,
planning the music and performing her original music for a children�s program called �41 Treehouse Lane� where
she was known as �Miss Jackie.� Between 1976 and 1982, she wrote and produced a TV show for Telecable called �Just
Kids,� which addressed children�s needs and interests. She has been writing books and music for children since
1979.
When Ms. Silberg is not touring the country giving workshops, keynote addresses at conferences, and concerts, she
serves as an adjunct instructor at both Emporia State University and the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
She also lectures at Johnson County Community College. Jackie Silberg is the owner of Miss Jackie Music Company
in Leawood, Kansas where she resides.
