This book addresses this inconsistency by consciously focusing on the victim's role in the criminal process. It is divided into procedural stages, a structure which mimics conventional criminal procedure casebooks. However, do to its unique nature, almost none of the material contained in Victims in Criminal Procedure is found in those conventional casebooks, making it a valuable resource.
